Red on the head!

Spent my Sunday at Jonal Chong's dyeing and cutting my hair. Colour is Burgundy with a stronger red tone (:

Second time dyeing my hair red and the sad part about it's that the reddish tone doesnt last as long as other colours. After the red fades, all you have is a deep brown colour. And because the colour transfer is rather high, I need to be extra careful when I sleep tonight lest I stain my pillow.

But oh well, admire it while it lasts!

I have plenty of snapshots taken of the fireworks that night but I'd better not bore you with them because nothing beats the pyrotechnic display at the Youth Olympic Games! And the flame cauldron looks like it belongs in fairytales and make-believe. Thats the saving grace for the night (:

School's starting tomorrow and I'm getting jittery about the unfinished readings.

Wish me luck!

Thats why they call it window pane;

Today's the 12th day of the month again! That means that Ryan and I have turned 19 months old (:

Time flies when you least realise it.

This week Dressabelle launches yet another pretty collection, in which I couldnt resist keeping 2 of them for myself.

Here are some of my favourites! (:

If I hadnt limit myself, these are the actual/additional pieces I would have kept!

But I need to bear in mind there's only so much storage space in my wardrobe. hahah..

Anyway I think I look more well-rested and fresh in this week's photos now that my Internship is over and I've been able to get more sleep. I've also tried to make my eyes look bigger, but I think thats the max I can do without having to resort to drastic measures.

Every week's collection means alot to me in that the photos were really the result of hard work and effort by Ryan and I. It may look easy like "1,2,3, smile!" and it does get easier and faster with practice, but we "sweat" alot for them behind the scenes.

There's the setting up of the stand and backdrop which requires Ryan to perch precariously on a stool trying to get the height right, repeatedly adjusting the backdrop so that it appears smooth and even (just for me to accidentally shift it and he'll need to tug at it again). The setting up part is the most mechanical and gets Ryan's goat the most because then, he needs to take it all down again when the shoot ends. It can get very very frustrating if the stand and backdrop are not perfectly aligned.

Then there are the late nights we work into, the tempers that fray. We can both be very happy at the initial stage but as the shoot progresses, we both get edgy and irritable, trying to perfect the shots and stuff like "your hair is out of place, can you shift it PLEASE", "I told you not to stand so far left already right?", "We dont need so many shots of the back view!" doesnt help much.

And of course, the inconvenience we may have inadvertently caused to his mummy, including all that racket and mess.

We've persisted for so long due to passion and also because we think it our honour to be able to help out in the entrepreneurial venture.

Sometimes thats all you need to get by on.

the end in sight

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Had a really hectic week which left me very sleep-deprived.

Havent been able to sleep well either- I would dream about work, drafts to be done, deadlines to be met. I hate it when my mind goes into overdrive at night and I continue "working" subconsciously, thinking about the things I need to do/ have yet to do. Unicorns and fairies instead please! Its probably a sign that it time to move on and leave.

It doesnt help knowing that I'll need to be back in the office tomorrow for more work. Monday blues :(

Tomorrow's the start of my final week of internship and I foresee that its gonna be doubly hectic. I hope Wesley comes up with more nonsensical stuff cos I would really appreciate the laughter :D

Wore Dressabelle's scallop dress in nude to work last week and its currently my favourite go-to dress for lazy days (:

The sweet nude pink shade sits well with fair skin tones and goes well with any coloured accessories. Material is of thick cotton and the scallop hems are perfectly cut and shaped. Get the most out of this dress by wearing it as a top with a fitted/ flared skirt! (: Nude coloured tops are hard to find, especially so if you're looking for a nicely fitted one with quirky details like scallop hemmed sleeves.

This dress (in colours nude and black) are on backorder so there you go, second chances for those who missed the boat (:

I dont ever get the same dress in 2 different colours because I think thats just plain irrational.

But I cant stop thinking about the one in black and how I could probably alternate between the 2 colours for different events/looks.

Yes, a dress like this is worth me betraying my instincts (: haha get it and you will feel me!

Also wore Dressabelle's navy trenchcoat to work last week!

My mirror is dirty and I will do something about it when I'm finally liberated next next week (:

Hop over to check out their latest collection now! (:

Read the mailer and I guess the world knows that I've kept a record number of pieces from this collection by now :P

I cant help it when the jackets, throwovers and tops are so pretty!

GIRLS. (:
